Installations today process different types of work with different completion and resource requirements. Every installation wants to make the best use of its resources and maintain the highest possible throughput and achieve the best possible system responsiveness. Workload management makes this possible.

With workload management, you define performance goals and assign a business importance to each goal. You define the goals for work n business terms, and the system decides how much resource, such as CPU and storage, should be given to it to meet the goal. Workload manager will constantly monitor the system and adapt processing to meet the goals.

When your system has low performance or your resources are not sufficient to accomodate your workloads, you need to evaluate your system.
